Water Conservation

Trees and water conservation aren’t in conflict in Southern Nevada — the species on our Tree Library are chosen specifically because they thrive on far less water than lawn turf, and a mature tree’s shade reduces the water everything else around it needs to survive.

The most common failure mode isn’t using too much water — it’s watering the wrong way: shallow, frequent watering that keeps roots near the surface instead of deep, infrequent watering that trains roots downward where soil moisture is more stable.
